G7 Travel Update
The G7 Summit will be held in Carbis Bay and St Ives this June. Please read this important update if you are travelling with us during the period Saturday 5th – Monday 14th June 2021.
Penzance Heliport remains open as usual during the G7 period, and we do not anticipate any disruption to flights to and from the Isles of Scilly. The airspace closure across the region does not impact Penzance Helicopters flights.
However, please be aware that there is a high likelihood of disruption on the roads of Cornwall from Saturday 5th – Monday 14th June 2021 inclusive. In particular, this is likely to impact the A30 in West Cornwall. If you are travelling with us during this period, you must leave extra time for your journey, as the main routes will be busier than usual.
Please remember check-in closes 45 minutes before your departure time, and after this time, you may have to book a new ticket at your own cost.
Enhanced security will be in operation on all Penzance Helicopters flights during this period. All carry-on baggage will be security checked prior to boarding, and all passengers over the age of 16 must provide valid photographic identification at check-in.
Valid ID can be a valid passport; valid photographic driving licence; Citizen Card; a school; college or university identity card; a valid government, armed forces or police identity card; or a council-issued photo bus pass. You will be unable to travel if you cannot produce suitable identification. Children aged 16 and under accompanied by an adult do not need identification.
If you have any questions, please call Penzance Helicopters on 01736 780828.
